Mail-In Drone Repair

Mail-in drone diagnostic and repair intake support for customers who need service but are not local to Northern Virginia.

Submit intake first · Wait for instructions · Ship safely · Diagnostic review before repair work begins

Do Not Ship Your Drone Until Intake Is Reviewed

Before mailing in a drone, submit the Drone Service Intake Form. This allows us to review the drone model, issue description, crash history, water exposure, included accessories, and photos before you ship equipment.

After the intake request is reviewed, we will provide the recommended next step. If mail-in service is appropriate, we will provide shipping instructions and let you know what to include in the package.

Mail-In Service Process

  • Step 1 — Submit the intake form: Provide your drone model, issue description, crash history, water exposure, and photos if available.
  • Step 2 — Wait for review: We review the request and confirm whether mail-in service is appropriate.
  • Step 3 — Receive shipping instructions: If approved for mail-in service, we provide instructions on what to include and how to package the drone.
  • Step 4 — Ship the drone: You package and ship the drone using appropriate protection, tracking, and insurance.
  • Step 5 — Diagnostic review: Once received, the drone is reviewed and the recommended next step is communicated.
  • Step 6 — Approve or decline repair: If repair is recommended, parts, labor, shipping, and next steps are communicated before repair work begins.
  • Step 7 — Return shipping: After service or review is complete, return shipping is coordinated.

What to Include in the Package

Only include the items needed to evaluate the issue. Do not send unnecessary accessories unless they are directly related to the problem.

  • Drone: include the aircraft body.
  • Controller: include only if the issue involves connection, control, app pairing, or signal problems.
  • Battery: include only if instructed or if the issue involves power, charging, or battery errors.
  • Charger: include only if the issue involves charging.
  • Props: remove damaged propellers when possible; include props only if needed for review.
  • Accessories: include only accessories related to the issue.
  • Order information: include your name, email, phone number, and intake confirmation if available.

Packing Recommendations

Protect the Drone

Use a sturdy box, padding, and internal protection so the drone cannot move around during shipping. If possible, use the original case or a hard protective case inside a shipping box.

Use Tracking and Insurance

Use a trackable shipping method and consider insurance based on the replacement value of the drone and included accessories. Customers are responsible for inbound shipping risk.

Follow Battery Shipping Rules

Lithium battery shipping may have carrier restrictions. Do not ship batteries unless they are needed for the service request and you have reviewed applicable carrier requirements.
